As usual, my plans for staying ahead of schedule with this Final Projec to fmine have diminished, and now I'm back to staying up ridiculous hours and waking up at even MORE ridiculous hours just to get shit done on time. 6 weeks left of school and I still need to fix up my lighting rig, finish my fucking model, unwrap UVs, texture the entire thing from scratch, fix up camera animations and render. Then compositing and adding title sequences, all for the final Showreel presentation to some dude from 3d companies.

Eurgh.

It doesn't help that we do other things in class as well. It's not only this we're doing. We're also doing a comping assignment, where we have to make an ad for a new iPhone using a 3d iPhone asset and After Effects, AND a group project which is due in week 8.

Gneh.


If anyone has any tips or anything, that would be great. My FP is focusing on my modeling and texturing skills, so there's no animation except for the camera. I'm still a nub, coz I've only been using Maya this year, so if anyone has found any especially useful tuts or know anything, could you send some links my way? Researching at this point is taking up too much time D;
